PTA

Eastcote School Parent Teacher Association

There is a thriving P.T.A. which organises social events and money raising functions to support the school.

Active participation by parents in curricular and extra-curricular activities is encouraged where appropriate e.g. group work in classrooms, help on educational visits, sports and clubs.

Parents of all children attending the school are automatically members of the Association and are cordially invited to take an active interest in the work of the Association.

The objectives as defined by the Constitution are to:

* Advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school (not normally provided by the L.E.A.).

* Foster more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.

* Engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it.

The programme of events are co-ordinated by an Executive Committee elected at the Annual General Meeting each October.
