PTA

Parents and staff whose children attend the school make up the Hawes Down PTA.

Our small, but merry band, help to make fundraising events for the children and parents fun. Recent events have included, end of term disco’s for the children, Xmas and summer fetes, staff v parents sporting events, after school video entertainment, competitions, coffee mornings, where mums and dads can get together chat, meet the head teacher and bring books and videos to exchange, quiz nights, disco’s for parents, boot fairs and lots more.

We are open to different ideas and new faces are always welcome to join us especially new mums or dads that enter the school.

The fundraising of the PTA and support of the parents have become of ever more importance to the school to help not just the extras but necessities of school life. It also gives a school like Hawes Down an even more sharing community, which bonds the children, staff and parents as they spend their special years with the school.

So come and join us and bring your enthusiasm with you. Please contact either the secretary, (Sandra Emblen-Jarrett) through the school office or any of the members displayed on our notice board.
