Dear Parent(s)/Carer(s),

It is a pleasure to be able to highlight some of the benefits of joining Hextable School.

When you visit the school you will find students working in a stimulating and

industrious environment. We believe that every student should be supported and challenged to be their best. A strong tradition of care and respect for all students ensures that each individual's strengths, abilities and skills are valued and developed. With you, we seek to celebrate students' successes at every opportunity.

We find that our students do best when they, their parent/carers and school are working closely together to achieve the best outcomes. As partners in your child's education, we expect to be in regular communication with you about their progress and achievements.

We aim to educate the whole person and so provide a wide academic curriculum and many performance, sporting and community activities. We seek to build students' self-esteem and self-confidence so that they are prepared for life in a changing society. Our focus on the performing arts is one of the ways we are able to prepare our students in exciting and enjoyable ways for adult life, while setting the highest standards. Excellence demands hard work and the commitment to overcome challenges.

The school has successfully achieved Performing Arts Specialist School status and with the creation of Hextable Dance within the school, this is a particularly exciting time to become part of the school community. I am sure that together, students and their families will find success and enjoyment in their time with us at Hextable School Performing Arts College.

We are very proud of the students in our school and if you wish to come and see us, please arrange a visit.

Your sincerely,

Peter Dalton
Head Teacher

SIXTH FORM

Hextable School has a growing Sixth Form which can offer students huge opportunities for development.

Our School community is at an exciting stage of innovation and progress and our sixth form students are a part of this.

Students within the Sixth Form gain rich and rewarding experiences from being a part of the Sixth Form at Hextable School. They feel valued and supported on their journey to higher education or work. The strong community focus within the Sixth Form prepares our students for higher education and the working world. Increasing cultural, social and sporting opportunities enable our students to develop their talents. Our Sixth Form is underpinned with a strong professional team of teachers, with students being taught in small classes, enabling them to achieve their potential. Students are encouraged to participate fully in their learning and to become increasingly independent and self directed.

As an ambitious and forward thinking Sixth Form we have strong links with our local federation of schools, other providers and businesses which enable us to tailor many programmes to particular interests. We are pleased that Hextable Sixth Form has improving performance and a positive reputation locally, which leads students from other schools to choose to continue their education with us.

We set out to provide an education with our students that will enable them to:

● have high aspirations and achievements
● be self-confident and successful people
● be independent and skilled learners
● have a sense of community and social and personal responsibility
● be able to play a full role in adult life
● develop their talents and abilities to their best
● progress onwards to college, university
