Welcome to our website and thank you for taking an interest in our school. We hope that this is the start of a happy and fruitful relationship with Highfield Junior School.

We enjoy a high level of commitment and enthusiasm from staff, children, parents and governors which creates a friendly and purposeful atmosphere. We place an importance on achieving the highest possible standards for our children, not just in the academic field but also in the wider curriculum.

We are proud of our successes and of the enrichment opportunities that we offer to children at lunchtimes, before and after school. These take many forms such as individual and ensemble instrumental lessons, choir, Spanish, netball, korfball, tennis, hockey, football, gymnastics, fun and fitness, dance, bowls, cross-country running, chess, drama, fabric fun, ICT, Breakfast Club, After School Club and a flourishing School Council.

We hope that you will find our website a helpful source of information. If you have any questions unanswered, or if you would like to know more, please do not hesitate to contact us. All parents who are considering applying to our school are encouraged to visit. If you would like to look around the school please contact the office to make an appointment.

Mrs Karen Bigg, Acting Head teacher

Highfield Junior School is a mixed,  Foundation Junior School catering for pupils between the ages of 7 and 11 years. Pupils are admitted at the beginning of the academic year in which they will reach their 8th birthday.

The school is situated in South Hill Road, in a pleasant residential area less than a mile from the centre of Bromley.

There are currently 384 children on roll accommodated in twelve classrooms. There is also a maths/PSHE room, a library, a conference room, a music room and a computer room installed with thirty-two new computers in April 2007. The school has a large hall, tuition rooms, a cooking area and a medical room. The spacious school grounds contain three hard playgrounds, an adventure trail, willow sculptures, shaded areas and a large playing field with pavillion on site.
