WELCOME!

Welcome to our website and thank you for taking an interest in our school. We hope that this is the start of a happy and fruitful relationship with Highfield Junior School.

We enjoy a high level of commitment and enthusiasm from staff, children, parents and governors which creates a friendly and purposeful atmosphere. We place an importance on achieving the highest possible standards for our children, not just in the academic field but also in the wider curriculum.

We are proud of our successes and of the enrichment opportunities that we offer to children at lunchtimes, before and after school. These take many forms such as individual and ensemble instrumental lessons, choir, Spanish, netball, korfball, tennis, hockey, football, gymnastics, fun and fitness, dance, bowls, cross-country running, chess, drama, fabric fun, ICT, Breakfast Club, After School Club and a flourishing School Council.

We hope that you will find our website a helpful source of information. If you have any questions unanswered, or if you would like to know more, please do not hesitate to contact us. All parents who are considering applying to our school are encouraged to visit. If you would like to look around the school please contact the office to make an appointment.

Mrs Karen Bigg, Acting Head teacher
