Oaklands Junior School
Oaklands Lane, Biggin Hill, TN16 3DN, UK Westerham

Oaklands is a Junior School maintained by the London Borough of Bromley. We offer a high standard of broad based education to pupils of between 7 and 11 years of age. At present there are over 300 children divided into ten mixed ability classes.

The Junior School shares its rural site with Oaklands Infant School. Both schools are fortunate to be situated in a magnificent, unspoilt valley which offers opportunities for detailed studies of the natural environment.

Within the school we have, amongst many other facilities and resources; a well equipped Hall/Gymnasium, two Sports Fields, a Craft Room, a Pottery Kiln, at least one Computer in each classroom, a Music Room, a well stocked Library, a Playground with a 'quiet' Garden Area and 'safe surfaced' Playground Equipment.

All schools are required by the Government to adopt a Home School Agreement and associated parental declaration.

During the school year 1999/2000 the Governors, Staff, Parents and Pupils formulated and adopted such an agreement following discussions and negotiations involving all parties.

All parents and carers are requested to read through this document and the accompanying Code of Behaviour and Golden Rules and discuss them with their children.

In the event of the rules being broken, children will be subject to a series of 'consequences' which are on display in each classroom.

Would both parent and child please sign both copies of this agreement and return one copy to the school as soon as possible.

It is hoped that this agreement will help to generate closer links between pupils, parents and the school.

Click here to download and print, if desired, the Home-School Agreement.
