Dear Parents

Welcome to our school

We were originally a village school and have worked hard to retain the supportive, caring environment associated with a small school. We believe that our school is an important part of the local community. As a large Primary School, we are able to draw on the talents and expertise of our many staff to create a dynamic and caring learning environment.

We believe that to achieve the best possible education for your child, we need to foster a close relationship between home and school. Your child benefits when parents and teachers work together and there are many ways in which you can support your child at Reculver School.

Teachers are always looking for parents to work alongside them in their classes, and to accompany the class on trips or outdoor pursuits. There is also an active PTFA who are always looking for new members and new ideas.

We consider ourselves a very open school, so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you wish to discuss any aspect of school life and how it affects your child.

We are very proud of our school and believe we have something special to offer. Your child has every opportunity to receive a fine education, and I hope that he/she has a very happy, rewarding and stimulating time at Reculver Primary School.

Yours sincerely,

Gill Burgess

Likes: All our children at Reculver and everyone in our school community. Walks in the country and by the sea. Dancing. (Chocolate)!
Dislikes: Never having enough time. Cold wet days. Dieting so I can't eat chocolate!

Other: I love seeing children when they come to have their commendation certificates signed.
