Salmestone Primary School. Margate, Kent. At Salmestone eveyone knows and shows that they are special

Welcome to the Salmestone Primary School

At Salmestone, breaktimes are as important to us, as time spent in the classroom. We aim to encourage the children to participate in group activities such as skipping, rounders and basketball as well as giving them the opportunity to have some quiet time to themselves.

Over the past two years we have invested in new equipment for our playgrounds, the most significant being the adventure trail, but we recognise the importance of free play using items such as hoops, hoppers and stilts.

Grown ups on the playground, as well as fulfilling a supervisory role, also participate in activities with the children, which allows for better relationships to be built between the adults and the children within the school.
