St. John`s C.E. Infant School
St. John’s 2006
The school is currently divided into 3 classes:-
Reception (Year R) - Yellow class
Year 1 - Red class
Year 2 - Green class
We have a hall, library and a special needs room. Each classroom has five networked computers.
Outside there is a playground and a partially covered soft play area for the Reception class.
We also have a sensory garden for use by the whole school.
All children will be encouraged to develop at their own rate and to achieve their full potential regardless of race, gender, physical or educational needs. This will be done by fulfilling the needs of the National Curriculum.
We will try to do this by developing a partnership with parents.
We will make the school a happy and secure environment where children and staff can work to their mutual advantage.
We will also make the school environment as attractive as possible.
We will endeavour to facilitate the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of the children in our care.
We will try to be an integral part of the local community.
We will encourage care and concern for the wider environment.
Recognising its historic foundation, this Church of England Controlled Infant School will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the church at parish and diocesan level.
The school aims to serve its community by providing an excellent education for pupils of all abilities and backgrounds in the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith. It promotes Christian values and spiritual development through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
