About St Mary of Charity Primary School

I am sure you will enjoy your visit to our website.

St Mary of Charity Primary School is a Church of England Aided school that values standards and achievement.

We do our best to ensure that the children at St Mary of Charity Primary school achieve the best they can and that they are happy with us.We believe that the education of children is a three-way enterprise between the school, the children and home. We encourage parents to take an interest in their children's work, and to come and talk to us about any difficulties or queries.

There is a separately run nursery unit on the school site. Children  come into our reception class at age 4 and leave at the end of year 6 age 11. There are currently about 260 children on roll, and an average class size of 29.

School meals are provided and served by Initial Caterers, cooked in our own kitchen. There is a choice of salad or a hot meal, and usually a choice of sweet. children may also bring a packed lunch if they prefer.

There are a variety of After-school clubs to cater for different interests, and a flourishing Parent/Teacher Association which organises social events and fund-raising activities.

Don't forget to visit our Calendar section, for a comprehensive lisiting of all of the important forthcoming term dates - make sure you have your diaries handy. I look forward to seeing you in school!

Best Wishes

Rachel Palmer
