WELCOME!!!

As Head teacher I am extremely proud of the children who come here to learn and the staff who work with me to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment. By spending a little time browsing through the information available, I hope that you will get a feel for what makes St Paulinus School such a special place.

By using the links on the left hand side of the page, you will be able to find out where our school is located and a little about its history. There is a special section showing examples of children’s work and what our children have achieved. Information is also available about our admissions criteria and there is a link to our most recent OFSTED inspection report.

It is our aim to ensure that every child that comes to our school reaches their full potential. This we achieve through the provision of a rich, varied and stimulating curriculum.

M.A. Davey

Head teacher

ACTIVITIES

St Paulinus likes to encourage its pupils to pursue extra curricular activities.

The school itself runs a range of lunchtime and after-school activities which seems to grow and change every term. As of spring 2007, the activities are listed below:

French 3 and 4
Recorders 2 - 6
Games 3 and 4
Dance 2 -4

Children are also able to take part in a range of instrument tuition. Currently, we offer the following:

Instrument Year Group
Recorder 2 - 6
Violin 3 - 6
Flute/Clarinet 4 - 6
Brass 4 - 6

Children who attend clubs outside school are encourged to share their achievements (ie cups, badges, certificates) at Achievement Assembly which is help every Friday.

ADMISISONS

At St Paulinus , children are admitted to the Reception Class in the September of the year in which they are five. All children are admitted to the school at the same time ie September. There is not a second intake in January or April.

Only 30 places are available in the reception class and these are allocated using the school's criteria. Every year, we have many more people wanting places than we have to offer. Subsequently, we have to have a set of over-subscription criteria to fairly allocate the 30 places. A set of criteria can be obtained in the following ways.

1. By coming in to the school (click here for a map).

2. By e-mailing the Head's PA on admin.st-paulinus.bexley@lgfl.net.

3. By viewing the Admissions Criteria on-line.
