Welcome to our school!

Langafel Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School has a strong team of teachers and support staff who have supported the development of our school into "a very good school" (Ofsted 2003 - Click the links button on the left to access the full report).

We are proud of the  achievements of all our pupils and we are committed to enabling our children to develop high academic and social standards

 Friendship and Learning

At Langafel, our pupose is to provide, within the context of Christian belief and practice, a high achieving inclusive school that reflects a safe, engaging and challenging environment where individuals are encouraged and nurtured to become successful, happy and caring members of the community.

To fulfil this purpose we aim to :

  • Provide high standards of teaching and learning, supported by the best available resources, to enable children the realise their full potential.
  • Provide broad, balanced and creative cross-curricular opportunities.
  • Encourage an understanding of the meaning and importance of faith and spirituality.
  • Foster high expectations in all aspects of school life by celebrating achievment.
  • Respond to pupil needs through excellent pastoral care, personal development and well being.
  • Foster respect, honesty, friendship and a sense of responsibilty as members of the school and wider community.
  • Encourage parents to actively particpate in all aspects of their child's education.

Friendship and Learning

Learning

Learning is a pencil that never stops.

It is an adventure in a weird and wonderful world.

Learning is a lifelong string of imagination.

It is an overflowing pot of wisdom.

Learning is a rich chocolate cake bursting with flavour.

It is a present of knowledge waiting to be opened.

Learning is a hushed library.

It is a world of unicorns and monsters where anyone can visit.

Learning is the sound of pencils scaratching against paper, filling never ending sheets.

Friendship

Friendship is a bow tied tight that never undoes.

It is a bag of popcorn for two.

Friendship is the sound of laughter.

Friendship is a glue that holds us all together.

Friendship is a sea that ebbs and flows.

It is a rollercoaster with highs and lows.
