Forehill School is situated to the north of Aberdeen, in the area of Bridge of Don within the Education Authority of Aberdeen City.
It is a single storey building, built to an open plan design and comprises two main teaching areas, each built around a central courtyard.
When built in 1982 the school housed a total of 50 pupils and 4 staff. Today, aver 250 3-12 year old pupils are nurtured and cared for by a committed, professional team of 18 teaching staff.
The current school roll stands at 240 pupils and 40 nursery pupils. Classes are formed according to Scottish staffing standards into 10 classes. During session 2007 – 2008, the Head Teacher and Depute Head Teacher are non-class committed, while the Principal Teacher has both class and management responsibilities. The Depute Head Teacher has responsibility for the Middle and Upper school, while the Principal Teacher has responsibility for Nursery and Early Stages.
