    Welcome to Benwick Primary School

WE ARE BENWICK SCHOOL COUNCIL

We are helping to make the pupils happy in school by doing more clubs without having to pay. We have made lots of improvements for the school, like buying dinosaurs for the little children to play with at playtimes and raising money.

SCHOOL TRIPS

We are so glad that the weather has improved, it means that we can start to enjoy our lovely school field at playtimes and lunchtimes. This is also the term that we go on most of our school trips. Have a look at all that we have planned/ have done.

CLUBS

Miss Pask and Mrs Fiore run the Out of School Club in the Benwick Children's Centre. The club offers a range of activites both indoor and outdoor in a safe environment, including arts and crafts, cooking, physical play, role play and computer games.

Sessions cater for 16 children and can be booked on a regular basis or day to day. For more information or to book sessions please ring - 01354 677733 between 3.30 and 5.30pm weekdays.

CLASSES

WELCOME TO CLASS 1.

We have Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children in our class.

Our teachers are Mrs Curson, on  Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and Mrs Miller, on Monday and Tuesday. We have P.E. on Tuesdays and Fridays; so we need to bring a pair of black shorts and a yellow T-shirt to school.

We take reading books home each night in our bookbags.

WELCOME TO CLASS 2.

Our teacher is Mrs Mitchell. We have Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 children in our class.

We have P.E. on Mondays and Thursdays; so we need to remember to bring a pair of black shorts and a yellow T-shirt.

Every night we take our reading books home and a list of spellings to practise. We have a spelling test each week. Once a week we have a piece of home work to complete!

WELCOME TO CLASS 3.

Our teacher is Mrs Clayton. We have Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 children in our class.

We have P.E. on Wednesdays and Fridays; so we need to bring a pair of black shorts and a yellow T-shirt. Tracksuit bottoms and a sweatshirt in winter would be a good idea.

We take our reading book home each night and a spelling list to practise. We have two pieces of homework to complete each week and can choose to come to Homework Club on a Wednesday after school or do it at home. In addition Year 6 children will be asked to complete practise SAT questions based on the current science topic.

Year 5 and 6 Writing Homework - Home on Mondays to be returned on Friday.

Year 5 and 6 Numeracy Homework - Home on Wednesdays to be returned on Mondays.

Science Homework - Home on Wednesdays to be returned on Mondays.
