The clues take you along the river to the Castle where you can enjoy the beautiful parks and scenery whilst looking for clues along the way.

Come along with bikes and scooters, bring a packed lunch and enjoy a day out with friends and family.

Prizes for the highest number of correct answers.

Family Fun Night

The Family Fun Night was a great hit with everyone and raised around £200. Mr Pearce was a fantastic Quiz Master with his assistant Miss Gibbon and also Game Show host with assistant Jo Johnson as Dolly Dealer. All the teams did well and went to a tiebreaker on each Quiz. Thanks also to Anne Holdham for compiling the Quizzes and for the loan of the giant sized playing cards from the Three Elms. Play Your Cards Right was enjoyed by everyone and lots of prizes won troughout the evening.

Quiz Evening on Thursday 10th May from 7pm

Quiz Night Thursday 10th May

Door open at 7pm, Quiz starts at 7.30 with our very own Quiz Master Mr Pearce. Entry is £2 per person.

You can form a team before you come of up to a max of 6 or meet up with others on the night. There will be a prize for the best team name, ie the funniest and most topical.

There will be a picture Quiz, Play your Cards Right round and a Bingo Quiz, all entertaining.

Excellent news Barclays are match Funding us, that means they will match £ for £ what we make on the night. Bring friends and family and have a great night.

Licensed bar and lots of prizes.

Family Bingo Evening

The Bingo was a great success, the hall was full and expanding at one point.

Thanks must go to Mr Lomax who made a great Bingo caller and entertained us with shouts of "two little ducks - quack quack" and many more.

There were 10 games played with a prize for a line and a house. A flyer was played at the end with someone winning a prize of a £20 voucher at the Hairdressers. There was a raffle too with a selection of great prizes to choose from.

It's great to see that the events we hold are so well supported by both parents and teachers.

Thanks to everyone who helped set up and run the evening and made it the success it was.

Particular thanks to Sarah and Zio Pin for providing and serving the pizzas for the evening and also to Jo for face painting throughout the evening - there were some fantastic faces.

As we have our own machine now for Bingo, I'm sure we will try and organise more evenings in the future.

Easter Biscuits and Cakes

Thank you to everyone who supported this event by sending in cakes and biscuits.

The children were delighted to see the variety offered, some decorated with eggs, chicks and bunnies.

It was great to see so many parents had supported this event and given the children money to spend.

Mother's Day

Hope all the mums enjoyed their mothers day presents this year.

There were lots of very pretty gifts and the children thoroughly enjoyed choosing. They ranged from pots of flowers, shower creams, packets of seeds, chocolates, gift boxes and more.

The price was kept low as this event was more about the children getting something nice for mum than a fundraiser. However the sale raised £40 for the school.

Thanks to the mums that came along to help and also to the teachers for their support.

In particular thanks to Miss Gibbon who decorated our Mother's Day trolley beautifully with paper lace and daffodils.

Italian food 1

A Night at the Musicals - See below to find out how it went!

Around 55 guests joined us for a night at the musicals at Zio Pin Italian restaurant back in January. Everyone thouroughly enjoyed the food and entertainment with a huge array of songs from West End Musicals from Les Miserables through to the lastest production of 'Wicked'.

The evening raised £880 and special thanks go to Dominic and Sarah Bertelli and family for all the hard work that went into the evening at their restaurant. Also many thanks to Mrs Chatters, teachers and parents who helped out whether waitressing or bartending or helping in the kitchen. The evening was a great success and one we would like to repeat next year.

Six Nations

Six Nations Fundraiser 2007

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Six Nations Rugby Fundraiser. It seemed that everyone really got into it and enjoyed the competition. Thanks in particular to Declan and Owen in 4L who between them returned nearly 150 entries.

The winner was Mr Robert Holdham, grampy to Cameron Calder 4L who collected the £50 prize.
Kerplunk

Wet Play Activities

Jan Price has recently put together boxes of games for the junior classes to use during wet play times. It has been a big task and taken a lot of organisation, but the children really appreciate having so many things to keep them occupied when the weather is bad. The boxes contain draughts, ludo, connect 4, dominoes, noughts and crosses, kerplunk and books with ideas for drawing activities to name but a few.

"There are so many games it would be impossible to play them all even if it rained all day."

"Everyone likes the games and they don't run around like they used to."

"I really like the games. My favourite game is the banana game."

"It took Jan three months to collect all the games but it was really worth it. Thanks Jan!"
