Welcome to St Joseph's Primary School
“Each and everyday we start anew and remember that ours is a school that loves, cares and respects all ”
St Joseph’s School was opened in 1926 as a voluntary aided day school, established under the trusteeship of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cardiff. The local education authority maintains the school that is the Cardiff County Council. St Joseph’s is designated a Primary School, that is for rising 5 year old pupils to pupils of 11 plus, and is co-educational.
BEHAVIOUR, SCHOOL RULES AND DISCIPLINE
All pupils are expected
- To behave in a responsible manner, both to themselves and others, showing consideration, courtesy and respect for other people and property.
- To show awareness of God’s presence and action in their lives and to respond to His invitation to enter into a personal relationship with Him.
- To display a sense of self-respect, self-discipline, self-confidence and self-reliance, and an awareness of, and sensitivity to, the needs of others.
We at St Joseph’s recognise that nothing so quickly undermines their efforts as a failure to keep in check discourtesy, disorder and disruption. In an attempt to counteract these negative attitudes, the staff continually attempts to create positive attitudes towards good behaviour in all that they do.
