Welcome to Brynamman Community Primary School

About us

The school is an important part of the community and the village, and we hope that every child will realise this and will grow to become an important member of the community and to respect the environment. First and foremost, whilst in attendance, every child should be happy because a child who enjoys being in school will gain maximum benefit from his/her primary education.

Education has many long term objectives and we seek to foster good relationships between children, staff and parents in order for these objectives to be achieved. May I state that we have the welfare of each pupil at heart the whole time and that we are anxious to work with you as parents to provide an excellent primary education for your child in a happy atmosphere.

The school exists to help the children to develop skills and knowledge necessary to become useful, caring members of an everchanging society.

Extra-Curricular activities
  • Extra-Curricular activities are of vital importance to the school for several reasons.
  • They are an essential part of the individual's personal and educational development.
  • Although the school serves a distinct catchment area, it aims at broadening the horizons of the pupils with visits to the theatre, cinemas, areas of special interest, Urdd activities and concerts on special occasions.
  • When an outside visit is arranged then the school asks the parents to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost.
  • We also encourage children who participate in activities at local clubs to inform us of certificates etc. they have been awarded.
  • Presentations are made in school assemblies and children are complimented on achievements at clubs and societies during their leisure time.
  • The school has strong sporting and cultural traditions.
