Here they are in all their glory - our new Reception children! Please give them a warm welcome when you see them in the playground and around school - don't forget that everyone else in school is bigger then they are and can seem a bit intimidating at first. Give them a big smile and they'll soon feel right at home!
A warm welcome too to all you mums, dads, granddads, grandmas and other relatives who are joining our big St Bert's 'family' along with our Reception children! We look forward to seeing you in school - you are especially welcome to join us at our Family Assemblies on Tuesday mornings, Dad's Reading Afternoon and Grandparents Day.
Ron Povey (Corporate Services Executive) of Halton Haven came into school to talk to the children at our Harvest Festival Family Service. John told us a lovely story about how God provides everything we need and the importance of caring for others.
We chose Halton Haven this year as our charity for Harvest Festival as it was a wonderful opportunity for the children to support a local charity. Much of our work to date has been overseas aid.
As you can see John is holding one of the many breads that have been made in school. This particular bread was made by Miss Hudson's and Mrs Burton's class.
