St Christopher’s is the parish school for the parish of Our Lady & St. Christopher, Romiley, approximately 3 miles from the centre of Stockport. It is a one form entry school with seven classes and approximately 200 pupils.

The school has a pleasant and secluded location with its grounds bounded by the gardens of private houses, Harrytown Catholic High School and the grounds of the parish church.

Our parents are very supportive, being involved in both P.T.A. activities and classroom support, where possible. The school is seen as having a central role in the parish, and our children enjoy a reputation for politeness and good behaviour. Our catchment area is large and predominantly suburban but with some light industry and commerce.

Welcome to St Christopher’s School. This site gives you an insight into the life of our school, and has been prepared to provide information for those who are considering St Christopher’s as a school for their child to attend; for “new” parents to the school and also to give practical guidance to parents of children already attending the school.
St Christopher’s exists solely for the benefit of the children. We are here to provide the best possible education for your child as a unique person, developing him/her to the very best of his/her abilities. We try to care for your children like caring parents as well as professional educators and do all we can to ensure that they learn to care for each other in a truly Christian manner.
We are proud of our school with its happy and caring atmosphere and its tradition of hard work, academic achievement, sporting success and parish community involvement. The school has been awarded a “School Achievement Award” in recognition of the high academic standards and the hard work and commitment of all the staff at the school. In 2003 we gained the “Basic Skills Quality Mark” which recognizes our commitment to ensuring that every child succeeds in the basic skills of reading, writing and number work. The school was reassessed in 2006 and was awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark for the second time. Our “SATS” results are amongst the best in the area.
