our school

Welcome to Willaston C of E Primary School

Willaston school began as an all age school on this site in 1930, replacing the original school on the village green. It soon became too small to accommodate all the children in the expanding village and was extended in the 1960's to provide a one form entry primary school.

Our most recent OFSTED report (February 06) said:

'This is a good school with some outstanding features. It gives very good value for money. Provision for pupils in the Foundation Stage is outstanding and they make very good progress. Pupils make good progress through Key Stages 1 and 2 and attain standards at 11 years that are generally above those expected for children of their age.'

We are a school with a happy family atmosphere where staff and governors and parents work together as a team to ensure all children work to their full potential and gain maximum benefit from their time at Willaston CE Primary. We welcome your interest in our school; visits to school may be arranged by contacting the school office.
