Welcome to Teesside High School
Welcome to the Teesside High School Website. I hope you enjoy browsing through our pages.
At our school we are proud of the achievements of our students. Their success is based on high expectations and quality teaching, together with a varied and full extra curricular provision. This is coupled with healthy and positive teacher/pupil relationships. Teesside is a happy and productive school where individuals matter and standards count.
As you will see, exciting times lie ahead for Teesside High School. The school has recently opened its doors to boys as well, with opportunities for girls and boys to learn separately as well as develop socially by means of classes and activities being organised on a single-sex basis in the upper part of the school, with the early years mixed.
Few schools enjoy such a superb location. We are situated in 19 acres of magnificently wooded grounds on the banks of the River Tees with extensive playing fields, tennis and netball courts, a nature trail and an orienteering course.
This website can only give you a flavour of the unique atmosphere at Teesside and I would urge you to come and experience the school first hand by paying us a visit. You are assured of a warm welcome.
I look forward to meeting you soon.

Teesside High School has a long and impressive record of providing an excellent education for girls. The School specialises in fostering the talents of each girl entrusted to its care and will help her, in every way possible, to achieve her full potential. We work hard to ensure that we are a genuine community in which everyone is treated with respect and understanding and where all talents and gifts are nurtured and valued.
We benefit from the skills and expertise of a dedicated staff who have created a structured yet challenging environment which by encouraging self-expression and developing a thirst for knowledge promotes the most important of personal qualities - confidence. Confident in themselves, girls are then able to raise their expectations and widen their horizons. Sensitivity and awareness of others are fostered in a community where the pastoral structure provides continuity of understanding of the needs of each girl and encourages lasting friendships.
We do our best to maintain our website but is intended as a guide only. While we believe it to be correct nothing contained within it shall form the basis of a contract. If you wish to place reliance on a particular matter stated on this website or in the School prospectus we would urge you to enquire further about it.

You can also check the School calendar for details of Open Days, Parents' Evenings and other activities. There are two versions of the calendar, one of which you can download and is a comprehensive list of all our activities, while the other is used by us to alert you to any date changes and to include additional information about a more limited number of events.
