Welcome To Londonderry Primary School's Web Site.

You may be asking yourself about our name? We are the oldest school in Newtownards (not Londonderry/Derry City) established in the town in 1820. The school was built by the late Marquis of Londonderry, who lived in the famous Mountstewart Estate and our association with the family continues today in the shape of our school badge, which is part of their Coat of Arms and can be seen in various places around the town.

Not only are we proud of our heritage, but also proud of the educational achievements of our children and staff as can be seen in our previous two inspection reports which are available from DENI.

We value the support of our parents, are always made welcome, and actively encourage the partnership of home, school and pupil.
