  The Govenors and staff of St. Patrick's Primary School believe the school to be a vital part of our parish and of the wider community. As such we are firmly committed to the aims and ideals of Catholic Education and the provision of quality education for all our pupils. St. Patrick's affirms its commitment to a positive and caring pastoral system and to foster an atmosphere of praise, encouragement and mutual respect.

The IIP Award Inspection Report confirmed that our school not only produced excellent Key Stage and Transfer result but that it was commited to the personal and professional development of all our staff. The report also highlighted the magnificent teamwork and communication skills that are evident in the school.
The award was presented to the school in November 2003.
Mrs Armitage our school secretary will be very happy to assist you with any further details about St Patrick's.
  On February 11th 2004 St Patrick's P.S. were delighted to welcome the President of Ireland Dr Mary McAleese to the school. The President wished to acknowledge the excellent work undertaken in the school by teachers, support staff, parents and especially pupils in promoting such a vibrant and successful school.

The School Experience

The Curriculum refers to all those learning experiences which the school provides for our children, challenging them to develop and grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

We aim to offer each child a broadly based and appropriately balanced curriculum in keeping with the Education Reform Order (N.I.) 1989 and subsequent revision of the programmes of study in the following ;
Religious Education,
Geography,
English,
History,
Mathematics,
ICT,
Science and Technology,
Art and Design,
Music,
Physical Education.

There are opportunities, also, for the pupils to participate in activities which promote the areas of Health Education, Cultural Heritage and Education for Mutual Understanding. We have a very successful EMU link with the pupils from Clandeboye P.S. Bangor.
