Welcome to Broom Cottages Primary School.

I am glad to be able to write a few words to welcome you to our school website. 

The school staff are very energetic, enthusiastic and professional and have coped well with the many changes that have taken place in education in recent years. We try to provide a balanced and interesting curriculum including a range of extra curricular activities to interest the pupils and develop their skills in the areas of sport and leisure.

We hope that the children in our school will be extremely happy and that, with the co-operation and support of our parents, they will continue to develop and reach their potential.

We are a large primary school situated in the North East of England. We cater for children aged from three to eleven years. Our school has a Resource Nursery with some places for children with special needs. In addition, we have a ten place unit for older children with special educational needs.

 

The pupils of Broom Cottages are lucky to work in a building with so many excellent facilities. The school moved to this site in 1986 and we make full use of a well equipped gymnasium with changing rooms, a swimming pool, extensive outside play areas and a large hall with a stage and lighting.
