Our Mission Statement

Our Lady and St. Thomas R.C. Primary School recognises the uniqueness of each individual child and member of staff in its care and aims to provide a balanced, relevant school experience within the context of a Christian Catholic environment, dedicated to promoting gospel values. By communicating these values through words and actions we aim for our school to be characterised by tolerance of differences in others, mutual trust in an atmosphere of forgiveness and reconciliation with a respect for the life experiences of pupils and staff. In these ways and through the provision of high quality teaching and learning experiences, we aim to enable our children to continue to achieve their potential as literate, numerate, understanding adults with a variety of life enhancing skills and attitudes.

Our School Motto

We care                      for others as we would like to be cared for ourselves.

for things God given and human made.

for ourselves and how we look.

for our work and how we present it.

                                          for our school, buildings,gardens,playgrounds,

                                         equipment and books.

We are courteous        to all people at all times with a smile.

to each other in and around the school.

to visitors whom we welcome with a smile and a

greeting of ‘May I help you?’

We are concerned           that our school is a fair and happy place for everyone.

that each classroom is a welcoming place to be.

for all living things in our school.

for those who need our help, who are hurt, sad or lonely.

for those less fortunate than ourselves.
