Headteacher's Message
Children who attend our school are offered high quality, effective teaching in a friendly, structured environment. We encourage all the children to achieve their very best, in a school where their work is valued, success is rewarded and future progress is identified.
At Shotley Bridge Infant School we encourage every child to be an active member of the school community. Our pupils enjoy coming to school and they participate fully in all aspects of school life. Children are offered a broad but balanced curriculum. We regularly hold 'special event days' where children dress up or participate in unusual activities, for example multicultural days, World Book Day, community visits, visits from artists. We feel events days such as these help to educate and develop 'the whole child'.
After school curriculum clubs are offered throughout the year, including computer club, art club and choir. Members of our community are invited to computer club, parents are fully involved in art club and the choir is regularly invited to perform in local events.
