CURRICULUM
The curriculum we offer at the College is broad and balanced and follows the requirements of the National Curriculum at Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. We aim to introduce each pupil to a wide range of experience, knowledge and skills. We encourage independent learning and the confident use of modern technology. We strive to make lessons and other activities relevant, challenging and enjoyable, using a wide variety of teaching and learning styles. Above all we celebrate success. Our excellent National Curriculum test results and outstanding sporting and musical/dramatic achievements reflect the hard work and enthusiasm of pupils and staff.
SUBJECTS
Most of the subjects, we as adults, were taught at school can still be found on the timetable. However, their content has changed and there are some new subjects. Academic achievement is central to our purpose and we work hard to prepare pupils for the National Curriculum tests at the end of Year 6 and 9. We would be pleased to provide further information, either on individual subjects or on our approach in general. Curriculum workshops also provide parents with the opportunity to learn more about our work.
