Dear Parents,
Arranging a Primary School Place for Your Child
From September 2006 onwards admissions to Derbyshire primary schools will be co-ordinated by Derbyshire Education Authority. This is a new process where the Authority acts as a 'clearing house' for admissions to all Derbyshire Primary, Infant and Junior schools, including Foundation and Voluntary Aided schools.
To apply you should firstly read the leaflet headed "Applying for a Place at a Primary or Infant School" and also the Authority's 'Parents' Information Booklet - An Essential Guide to Primary Education 2006/7.
If you do not already have a copy, this leaflet/booklet is available from Primary, Infant and Junior Schools and can also be obtained by telephoning Call Derbyshire on
08456 058 058. You should then complete the application form PAF1, which is also available by the methods above.
