Foremarke Hall is one of the UK's leading independent schools providing boarding and day places for 450 boys and girls from the age of 3 to 13.

Set in a fine Georgian mansion surrounded by 50 acre grounds, the school is just a short distance from the village of Repton, where our famous Senior School is located.

Foremarke is renowned as a busy, happy and successful prep school offering an education that balances traditional values with modern educational thinking.

The school strives to encourage children to be ambitious for themselves, to enjoy life and care about the people around them. A Foremarke education is about variety, purpose, success and enjoyment.

To find out more about the school and the quality education available please use the menus above.

Dining

Mealtimes are special at Foremarke and a chance for children to gather in
the impressive dining hall to enjoy freshly prepared food.

The school emphasises healthy eating habits, with a hearty breakfast
for boarders, serving up cereals, toast, croissants, porridge and
cooked breakfasts.

Lunch is the main meal of the day, with a nutritionally balanced menu
from which children can choose a meat or fish option, a vegetarian option
and from a generous salad bar. Puddings are either hot, or a choice of
fresh fruit, yoghurts, cold desserts or cheese.

Evening meals for boarders provide a lighter option, and are followed by a
mug of hot chocolate before bed.

While the atmosphere is relaxed and conversation encouraged, polite
table manners are expected and to this end, teachers and assistants eat with
the pupils.

Libraries

Foremarke Hall has exceptional library facilities catering for all age
groups at the school and providing children with study guides,
books to complement their curricular reading, and a wealth of quality
fiction.

The Pre-Prep Department has its own specially designed library with
a wide variety of books designed to inspire a life-long love of reading.

The main Prep School library, containing more than 12,000 books, is
situated in an impressive room in the main hall and the well-organised
stock is overseen by the school's chartered librarian.

Each form uses the library as part of its English lessons and all pupils
are encouraged to read for pleasure and to use the library for reference

 and research.

The main library also houses 10 computers, providing an appealing
environment for children to use the internet for further research or to
complete prep.
