Mealtimes are special at Foremarke and a chance for children to gather in the impressive dining hall to enjoy freshly prepared food.
The school emphasises healthy eating habits, with a hearty breakfast for boarders, serving up cereals, toast, croissants, porridge and cooked breakfasts.
Lunch is the main meal of the day, with a nutritionally balanced menu from which children can choose a meat or fish option, a vegetarian option and from a generous salad bar. Puddings are either hot, or a choice of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cold desserts or cheese.
Evening meals for boarders provide a lighter option, and are followed by a mug of hot chocolate before bed.
While the atmosphere is relaxed and conversation encouraged, polite table manners are expected and to this end, teachers and assistants eat with the pupils. |
