Tintwistle School |
Tintwistle is a Church of England Aided Primary School catering for the educational needs of children between the ages of four and eleven in our village community.
The maximum number admitted each year into the reception group is 17.
After 160 years in the old school we now have the luxury of a hall, library, our own playing fields, spacious cloakrooms and best of all sinks with HOT running water. We have also entered the technological age with a full range of new computers which are linked to the Internet.
The school governors determine the general educational character of the school and its place in the community. As a Church Aided school the majority of the governors are appointed by the Church. The remainder are from the community and parents of children in school.
The governors meet regularly throughout the year. | |

Introduction |

A small charge is payable for gymnastics club, which is run by a professional coach. Clubs change regularly and last year included tag rugby, netball and orienteering - so watch this space! |
