Curriculum Aims Of Our School

Literacy

• Developing the skills of reading fluently and accurately
• Encouraging the enjoyment of different types of reading material
• Developing the skills of writing appropriately for a variety of occasions and purposes
• Developing a legible style of handwriting and good standards of spelling and punctuation
• Encouraging clear and confident communication through speech

Numeracy

• Raising an awareness of the use of Mathematics in everyday situations
• Promoting a positive attitude towards number and other areas of Mathematics

Geography

Design and Technology

• Giving all children the confidence and competence to identify and solve problems. This will include designing and making products using a variety of approaches and materials
