Over the years it has developed an excellent academic reputation with examination results being consistently high at all levels. Previous students have also gone on to achieve a disproportionately high number of higher degree class results. This tradition is balanced by a wide range of extracurricular opportunities available to students. Sport, music and drama feature prominently in the life of the school and each year there are many visits and trips both locally and abroad.
It also helps us to work in close partnership with parents to ensure that children are happy and successful at the school. Our aim is to provide an environment that is safe yet stimulating in which students can flourish.
As of 1st April 2006, Lytchett Minster has become a Training School. During the Summer term, we worked to develop our initial bid into a strategic plan for the year. This involved identifying clear focus areas for our work, linked to our school improvement plan.
As a Training School, we will seek to innovate and develop in a number of key areas including whole staff training, CPD for teachers , leadership training research and teacher training. Developments will focus on and have impact on teaching and learning.
