Twynham School is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with Leading Edge, Training School and dual Specialist (Technology and Music) Status.
Twynham has not only been listed in the HMCI (Her Majesty's Chief Inspectors) Annual report as a ‘Particularly Successful School', but its most recent Ofsted Inspection (October 2006) judged the school and the Sixth Form as “Outstanding”. This formally places the school in the top 10% of schools nationally.
We are proud of our students' academic success, but we value more than this. Opportunities for the involvement by our students in a wide range of activities, such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Orchestras, Drama, Art, Sport, foreign visits and much more, are vitally important to us. The recent outstanding success of the production My Fair Lady at Christchurch's Regent Centre speaks volumes about the school. This was of such a high standard that in the words of many people: "This was not like a school production - and was as good as that which you see on the West End Stage".
We are proud of our success and of the success of our students and if you would like to find out more, please do not hesitate to contact us.
This site is currently being re-developed but if you would like to find out more about the Sixth Form, or to read the school's Ofsted Report, please click on the Sixth Form button.
