Aitkenbar Primary School is in the Bellsmyre area of Dumbarton. We have 170 pupils in eight classes.



This web site is run by some of the Primary 7 pupils - Fhiannan, Gillian, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Christina, Emma Jane, Rachel, Charlene and Leah.

Every year the whole school does a Scottish topic. This photogaph shows some of the work that the infants did.



You will see from the photograph of the school that it is not a very pretty building on the outside but inside it is lovely! Apart from the nine classrooms we have an art room, a computer suite, a gymnasium, an assembly hall with a large stage area which we can use as a GP room, an infant playroom as well as spacious playgrounds and a grass football pitch.




Aitkenbar Primary has a welcoming atmosphere and all the staff are very friendly.
We have a visiting PE Teacher, a Music Teacher, a Teacher from the Area Network Support Team as well as an I.C.T. / AV Support Technician. We also have various members of support staff .
