I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your family from all the staff at Broadway First School. We are a community school for children aged 4-10 years. There are currently 88 children on roll. Our aim is to provide an environment where children enjoy learning, feel valued and successful. We promote politeness and consideration for others in lessons, and by example, positive, reinforcement and parental involvement. We aim for each child to become a confident and independent learner who has a secure foundation of skills in literacy and numeracy. However, we also believe it is important for children to learn from a wide variety of experiences in order to ensure a broad and balanced education.
Our school is dedicated to providing children with quality education in a stimulating but safe environment. The children in our school have opportunities to take part in many and varied activities including: * An annual school show * Residential trips * Adventure activities such as climbing, canoeing, potholing, archery, and sailing * Sports such as football, netball, orienteering, mini-tennis, inter-school matches, county championships * Swimming lessons * Music concerts * Country dancing * Educational visits to enhance their learning * Walks in the local area to support geography * Guitar, piano and recorder lessons.

We are a small village school that can provide a warm and friendly environment for all the children in our care. Parents are always warmly welcomed and encouraged to support their children's learning and development. If you would like to look around the school and meet the staff please telephone 01386 852485 for an appointment.
