Welcome to the web site of Green Hill School.
Green Hill School is a small, independent day Preparatory School which caters for boys and girls from 3 to 13 years. The school has been in existence for over 100 years and has played a significant part in the life of Evesham. It has also been inspected by the Independent Schools Joint Council and is accredited to the Independent Schools Association (ISA).

The ethos of all schools is different. I consider the attraction of Green Hill School to lie in the atmosphere here. Pupils spend many years at our school and their time should be happy and rewarding. It is our aim that standards and targets should be realistic, though always at as high as possible for the pupils. After all, we are preparing the pupils for the senior schools of their choice.

The motto of the school is Nihil Sine Fidelitate which means ’nothing without loyalty’. This concept underpins much of the school’s philosophy in that loyalty of the pupils to themselves and to others will help them succeed in all they do. The overall aim of the school is to encourage any abilities the pupils may have and to give them independence, greater self-confidence and to develop a caring attitude to the world in general. Bearing all this in mind please view our pages and absorb something of the Green Hill School ‘atmosphere’. If you would like to visit us, I would be delighted to give you a tour of the school and arrange for you to meet with some of our academic staff

Thank you

The aims of the school are as follows:
  • To ensure that pupils are happy and secure in their surroundings.
  • To prepare pupils for their secondary education To provide pupils with a balanced learning programme.
  • To help pupils achieve their full potential by encouraging individual skills and abilities and identifying special needs and strengths.
  • To ensure that pupils can communicate and express themselves clearly in a range of situations.
  • To introduce pupils to technology.
  • To develop in pupils a caring attitude and understanding towards other people and the world in general.
  • To promote the welfare and professional development of all staff.

Green Hill School strives to have a caring and pleasant environment in which our pupils and staff can work. The main house is a Grade II listed building and is surrounded by tidy lawns and shady trees. A millennium garden has been developed as a quiet area.

Facilities in the grounds include generous playing areas, a seven-a-side football pitch, a netball court and a cricket net for bowling practice.

In addition, we also use local sports facilities. For younger pupils there is an excellent Adventure Playground.

Within the school building there are well resourced general teaching rooms, a library, and specialist rooms for
Science, Art, Music, ICT and DT.

In addition the school has a Hall/Gymnasium.
