Martley, WR6 6QA Worcester

Welcome To The Chantry High School

The Chantry High School Technology College is situated seven and a half miles west of Worcester in the fairly small rural village of Martley. It opened in 1963 and became a comprehensive school in 1983. It currently has approximately 700 students on roll in years 7 - 11.

The Chantry High School Technology College has a long tradition of providing a good education for its community and is proud of the reputation for excellence which it has. We are commited to developing and maintaining strong relationships with parents and the local community.

Set in a rural community, the school is the partner of nine primary schools within its traditional catchment area. It maintains close links with Worcester Sixth Form College and Worcester College of Technology.

At the Chantry we want to foster a desire for life-long learning in all our students. Every child who comes to The Chantry has a right to an education which prepares them for life as a positive and productive member of society. Whatever their ability, background, race or gender they have talents to develop and skills to learn, both academically and socially, and here at the school we want everyone to achieve their best.

The school is part of the Worcestershire Healthy Schools programme; in 2000 received Sportsmark status and was reaccredited in 2003; in 2002 we achieved a School Achievement Award and in 2003 we gained investors in people status. And at the start of this year achieved specialist school status in technology! As you can see, from this, we want the best for our pupils and staff.
