Our admissions process is designed to find out if we are the right school for your child, a place where she will thrive personally and academically. We hope that Dodderhill will be that place.
Most parents like to start their search by looking at our prospectus. To request a copy please email email@example.com or call 01905 778290.
The next step is a visit so that you can meet our teachers and pupils, explore our classrooms and grounds, and get a feel for whether we are the right school for your family. In an informal interview with our headmistress Mrs Mumby, you can discuss your child and her interests, abilities and expectations. To arrange a visit please call 01905 778290 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Your child may see the school for the first time at an open day or on an individual visit but the best way to find out if she will be happy here is a Taster Day. She will spend the day with her prospective classmates, enjoy all that a typical day at Dodderhill has to offer and get to know her way around the school. The admissions process varies depending on the year group your child is planning to join.
Children make the most dramatic progress in their education between Kindergarten and Year 2. They learn to read, write and understand numbers. Our junior school teachers excel at building a sound foundation, one that develops these skills without knocking confidence.
Mrs Mumby, Headmistress
Education is about much more than meeting Early Learning Goals. I want to make sure that every child in my class is excited about what they’re learning.
Mrs Palmeri, Reception Teacher
My pupils learn that there is value in tackling things that they find hard. They know that I believe that they can do anything!
Mrs Young, Year 1 Teacher
Small teaching groups and individual attention continue to make a huge difference to pupils in our senior school. If a girl does not seem to be performing as well our teachers know that she can, we find out why. We can then talk to her and her parents to find out how we can help.
Mrs Mumby, Headmistress
Our girls are multi-talented and have support for whatever they want to do. Some of the most gifted artists are often brilliant scientists, writers, athletes or musicians. All the girls are involved in so many things and have so many interests.
