We are a small village school with a strong belief in our school as a family where everyone can thrive and succeed. The children at Chirton School are taught in two classes, both housed in our spacious grounds. Class 1 (Reception - Y2) is taught by Mrs. Frindall and Mrs. Payne. Class 2 (Y3 - 6) is taught by Mrs. Foord and Mrs. Lloyd Jones. We are fortunate to have small class sizes which enables each child to be treated as an individual. Their needs are catered for by a differentiated, creative curriculum. We aim to raise children's confidence and self esteem, leading to each building a love of learning and achievement.
The school is on a split site. The Victorian building provides for a small hall area, library, group teaching room and school office. The grounds surrounding the classrooms contain a netball court, football pitch, adventure playground and fenced pond area to provide us with a variety of learning experiences and extensive play opportunities for the children. |
