Mission Statement of our school
The school aims to provide a wide and varied education with the accent on developing the potential of each child.
We seek to create a school environment that enables the children to develop and express their individual personalities and to respect the needs of others.
This will be in the context of a caring, Christian community that reflects the Anglican traditions and observes the cycle of the Anglican year.
We aim to:
Promote a rich and varied curriculum which encourages children to enjoy learning and achieve their full potential.
Promote safe, healthy lifestyles.
Encourage all children to make a positive contribution to the life of the school and the wider community through interacting with others.
Develop lively, creative minds with the ability to question and debate rationally and to apply oneself both mentally and physically.
Acquire understanding, knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for adult life and future employment.
Provide opportunities for children to be literate and numerate.
Experience success and value achievements and aspirations of themselves and of others.
See obstacles as an opportunity to learn, developing self esteem and self awareness.
Share responsibility for, and understanding of children’s own learning.
Provide experiences for children to develop spiritually, culturally and morally.
Understand that people have different needs, views, cultures, attitudes and religious beliefs that need to be treated with respect.
