St John's awarded Activemark
We are delighted to announce that St John's has been awarded an Activemark for our successes in PE.

90% of our children are now taking part in two or more hours of PE and sport each week and all children have the opportunity of taking part in an annual sports day.

Our congratulations and thanks must go to Miss Earl, who for the last four years in her role as PE subject leader has worked hard to improve the standards of PE for all our children.

From January, the role of PE subject leader will move to Mrs Linda Ladner, a higher level teaching assistant, she will be assisted by  Mrs Louise Clapton and they will both continue to work with the Sport Partnership on our behalf. This will allow Miss Earl to concentrate on her role as Literacy subject leader and give her time to help develop the vital transition links with Saint Augustines Catholic College. Any queries regarding sport or PE should now be addressed, in the first instance, to Mrs Clapton, who is available in the office on a daily basis.
