Castle Hall School is an exciting and vibrant school where staff and students come together to take forward their education through highly effective teaching and learning. We have a very high quality range of specialist facilities and aim to use these to get the best from all of our students by having high expectations of them and finding ways to develop each person's unique talents.

174 students are admitted at age 11 without reference to ability or aptitude. Where applications for admission exceed the number of places available, the following criteria will be applied:-

1. Children in public care (looked after children)

2. Students having Statements of Special Educational needs naming Castle Hall School.

3. Students having brothers or sisters currently attending the school.

4. Proximity of a student's home to the school, with those living nearest being given the highest priority.
