Welcome to our school web site.

It is our aim to make children's time at Leeside Primary School secure and happy. We aim to provide a stimulating learning environment and caring atmosphere in which each child can do their best.

We believe that all children, regardless of race, gender, creed or social background are important individuals who must have equal access to, and take equal part in, the whole school curriculum and life of the school.

We believe that education is a partnership between staff, pupils and parents, and that it works at its most effective where there is close co-operation between home and school. Working together, we can give children the security and confidence to achieve high standards.

We hope you enjoy our web site, and find the information useful. If you have any questions, please use the information on our home page to contact us.

About As

Leeside is a Community Primary School, catering for children aged 3 - 11 years old.

The school opened in 1995, and is housed in a large, light airy building, which has been completely refurbished to provide absolutely excellent facilities for primary children.

There are 11 classrooms, each classroom having access to large areas shared with other classes. All of this space enables us to do a lot of practical work and provides opportunities for every child to work in a variety of ways.

There are computer facilities throughout the school, with a new computer suite and up to date computers in every class.

There is a separate reference library, resource area, audio-visual room, dining area and a large hall with a stage.

The school has 3 separate playgrounds, and it is surrounded by extensive playing fields. The 26 place Early Years Unit has a separate entrance and its own outdoor provision, though in all other senses, it is an integral part of school.

We are fortunate to have such spacious and attractive buildings. Our school strives to provide an attractive, safe and stimulating environment in which everyone can take pride.
