Whingate is a two-form entry Primary School which has 390 pupils on roll. There is also a Nursery for pupils aged 3 and 4 years, which is operating as a 39-place unit.
Outside there are two large hard surface playing areas and a good sized grassed area. The playgrounds have some activity trails, seating, shaded and exciting permanent play markings.
Our aim at Whingate is that your child should be happy and successful. We achieve this through:
- Providing caring relationships
- Providing a secure atmosphere with clear expectations
- Matching work to the needs and abilities of each child
- Setting high standards
We want to encourage children to respect all others and to develop self control of their behaviour and a sense of responsibility. We want children to develop good working attitudes.
At Whingate we aim to provide a high quality education for all.
