Each year the school is required to identify areas that need to be developed and possibly improved. These targets become the basis of the Schools Development Plan and throughout the year staff, Governors and children work together to achieve these targets.
On our INSET Day at the beginning of the academic year, staff and Governors met to discuss the schools targets for the year 2007-2008 which are listed below. We hope that by informing you about the targets you will be able to work with us to ensure that this very successful school becomes even more successful!
To improve the quality and range of homework sent home to maximise the standards and relevance of homework.
To improve on current ALPS practice to ensure all learners are catered for and their potential maximised
To develop a synthetic phonics scheme and resources that will ensure the continuity of phonics teaching throughout the school and in doing so raise the standards in literacy
