About St. Paul's School

Head teacher - pete FarrellHello, and a warm welcome to the "About St. Paul's" zone of our website.

I'm Pete Farrell and I've been headteacher here since September 2000. St Paul's is a happy and successful school with over 300 children aged 3-11. The school is located close to the heart of Leamington but surrounded by hills and green fields. We are a real community school with children from many different backgrounds... a real slice of Leamington life!

St Paul's is a Church of England (Voluntary Aided) Primary School, and as such we have very strong and important links with our church and its vicar, Rev. Jonathan Jee. We enjoy the support of fantastic parents and a dedicated governing body.

The summer (2006) has seen exiting new developments in the buildings, teaching facilities and, this, our website. If you see what you like throughout the website, and you’d like to know more, please don’t hesitate to contact the school to arrange a visit and meet the team. We’d be most pleased to meet your child and you.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site.

Governors

Dear Reader,

We are fortunate in having Governors who put in so much time and effort for the benefit of the school. They receive no payment for their contribution and claim no expenses - which they are entitled to do.

We have a total of fourteen governors; seven are foundation governors appointed by Saint Paul's Church, with two more being appointed by the County and District Councils. Other governors include; the vicar of Parish Church - St Paul’s, the Headmaster of the school, the remainder being made up of one parent and one teacher Governor and members of Saint Paul's Staff.

This is a time of fast changing directives in the world of education, bringing increasing stress and workload for the Head and his staff. We are fortunate in having such a dedicated and hard-working staff which copes so well, especially in the present education climate.  We are fortunate too in having such an enthusiastic P.T.A. (Parent -teacher -association) which supports the school in so many ways, including fund raising to provide benefits for the school.

Patricia Brown (Chair of Governors) 2006
