I'm delighted to welcome you to Alice Stevens School. Serving the whole of Coventry, the school teaches students, aged 11 to 19 years, who have a range of complex needs, including moderate learning difficulties.

Relocated on its Whitley site in 1953, the present school is proud of its long history — with an admission register dating back to 1909.

Alice Stevens was renamed after a Coventry City councillor, who worked tirelessly for the city's young people.

Throughout its history, the school has provided significant support for the local community.

Alice Stevens is dedicated to meeting the needs of young people with moderate learning difficulties, who need more support than can be provided in mainstream schools.

Our students are educated in a positive, caring and supportive environment. The generous student:teacher ratio ensures that individual needs are met, with class sizes generally not exceeding 14.

Each class has a qualified teacher with special educational needs experience — maximising their achievement and fully-preparing them for adult life. Every student leaves Alice Stevens with a Progress File, reflecting their achievements at school.

Parents and carers are most welcome to become actively involved in their child's education. With curriculum opportunities continually expanding, we believe that mutual co-operation is the key to each student's success at Alice Stevens.

Parents' Evenings are held in the autumn, spring and summer terms, providing an opportunity to meet teachers and discuss each child's progress.
