Blowers Green Road is extremely busy and so we urge parents to be especially vigilant when dropping off and collecting pupils.
Please do not use the school car park to drop off pupils as it s very congested and can be dangerous. Please use the pedestrian gate for walking pupils to the back playground gate, not the school car park gate.
The front school entrance should only be used for children arriving at school after the school bell or for collecting children attending appointments, during the school day.

It is vital that pupils attend school regularly in order to develop to their full potential. The school believes that all children should attend school daily unless there is a genuine reason for absence.
The school register is recorded electronically at the start of the morning and afternoon sessions. If your child is unable to attend it is vital that the school receives prompt notification by telephone or letter, otherwise the absence will be recorded as unauthorised.
Pupils are allowed up to two weeks extended holiday leave, at the discretion of the head. Full details of the holiday must be given on a formal holiday form, which can be obtained from the school office.
The school sets and expects high standards of behaviour from all pupils.
The school has a behaviour and discipline policy, which follows the assertive discipline model. Each classroom has the school golden rules, rewards and sanctions on display and these form an integral part of the teaching and learning process. They are also regularly reviewed and reinforced in school assemblies.
Class teachers have the main responsibility for classroom discipline and pastoral care. Behaviour will be discussed as part of the regular parents meetings which take place termly. In severe cases of misbehaviour, parents will always be informed immediately so that parents and the school can work together towards a solution.
The school will not tolerate incidents of bullying or racism and has procedures in place for dealing with them should they arise. |
