Welcome to Coventry Preparatory School's Website
Coventry Prep is the preparatory school to the Foundation.
It is a non-selective Coventry independent day school catering for families and with a friendly, happy atmosphere. High academic standards are achieved by children of a range of abilities in small classes. The ethos of Coventry Prep School is to develop all children’s talents, whether these are academic, creative, musical, dramatic or sporting.
The School prepares children for entrance to other Coventry independent schools as well independent schools further afield such as Rugby, Bromsgrove, Kingsley Girls’, Warwick and other prestigious schools.
Children are ‘class’ taught up to the age of eight after which they are taught by subject specialists in the tradition of other good preparatory schools. The curriculum is broad with plenty of emphasis on the basics but also offering many opportunities for children to develop their creativity and confidence both through timetabled subjects and a very wide range of extra-curricular activities. Sport is an important part of School life and the School has established a very good local reputation for its Saturday morning sports clubs, led by professional sportsmen and sportswomen.
In common with other good independent schools Coventry Preparatory School has a well equipped Learning Support Department with both a Head of Learning Support and Learning Support Assistants. |
