Hello and welcome to the school.

I have been headteacher here for over 10 years and I am pleased to see how well the school has developed in that time.

MRS P M SMART

Our mission statement is "Achievement for all" - words we have chosen carefully because we really believe that everyone here can achieve to the very best of their ability.

I am very proud of Greet - proud of the hard work of staff, pupils, governors and parents; proud of our many achievements; and proud of the rise in standards that we have witnessed.

I believe that Greet is a forward-looking school.  This website is one example of how we are using technology to take us further forward.

The website contains background information about the school and describes some of the activities that take place. There are examples of the children's work as well as a noticeboard in order to share news of recent and upcoming events.

We hope you will find the information on this website both interesting and useful. Keep in touch with the school by visiting the website regularly!

The aims of the school are:

  • To provide a happy and secure environment in which young children can build the foundations of lifelong learning and develop into balanced and mature pupils.

  • To promote the highest possible standards of achievement and the development of pupils' full potential.

  • To develop as an inclusive school, fostering positive attitudes to learning and behaviour and developing pupils' skills in teamwork and independence.

  • To involve parents, governors and the community in the learning process, emphasising the importance of good attendance, the home-school partnership and the community curriculum.

  • To respect other people, their beliefs and their culture.

  • To support all staff in their personal and professional development for the benefit of the school as a whole.

  • To give pupils and staff opportunities to share their cultural background with the whole school community, building self-esteem and the confidence to hold to personal, moral and spiritual values.

  • To respect and care for the school buildings and grounds and the property of others.

  • To ensure equality of opportunity for all pupils and staff, taking into account their gender, ethnicity, religion and ability.

  • To be a forward-looking school, prepared to embrace new ideas and to work within networks of other schools and agencies to promote high standards.
