Welcome...

We live in fascinating times where the world is changing daily and the opportunities open to us through technology seem endless. Within living memory we have moved from recording on slates to communicating with people on the other side of the world via computers and the Internet.

We hope that through these pages we can convey the enthusiasm and desire of all associated with Perton First School to give our children the best possible start to their school life.

We are justifiably proud of our web-site. It has won high universal acclaim and opened up many opportunities to work with children far afield. It enables us to capture and share with you the wide range of stimulating activities in school that enrich the pupils' education and gives us the opportunity to celebrate the high standards achieved by our children.

Prospectus

Dear Parents

Welcome to Perton First School. This prospectus is intended to paint a broad picture of the school. Thank you for taking the time to read it.

At the beginning of the second millennium your children, our pupils, are our future's hopes and aspirations. They have been born into a time of unimaginable technological and social changes. It is our role to equip our children with the skills needed to meet the challenges which lie ahead of them while at the same time holding on to those traditional values which are important.

We want our pupils to leave Perton First School with high academic and personal achievements, with a respect for each other and, above all with a sense of pride and high self esteem. We embrace the philosophy 'You Can Do It' with it's keys to success of 'Persistence', 'Confidence, Getting Along' and Organisation'. This approach is positive and encouraging, it celebrates children's  achievements and fosters their self-confidence.

Our pupils' education will have begun on the day they were born. It is our job to build on those early years and to work with you to equip them with skills they will need to cement the foundations to lifelong learning.

If we can achieve this and the children come to school with a skip in their step, a smile on their faces and an excitement in their hearts then we will have succeeded.

Mrs B A Toth
Headteacher
